And there are safety accessories as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Helmets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jackets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gloves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elbow Pads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knee Pads <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Back Protection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All the accessories mentioned before are manufactured with special and resistant materials for those who ride motorcycles, reducing injuries before any accident in highways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even so, the WHO (World Health Organization) data informs that during 2023, motorcycles represented a 28% of deaths caused by <a href=\"https:\/\/multisenal.com\/en\/?p=22926\">traffic accidents<\/a> in the world, even though these only represent the 14% of vehicles that were registered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.roadsafetyfacility.org\/\">Global Road Safety Facility<\/a> mentioned that mortality rate by motorcyclists are 20\/29 times higher than cars. The zones with highest mortality rates caused by motorcyclists are: South East Asia, Africa and Western Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-risk-factors-for-motorcyclists\">Risk Factors for Motorcyclists<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The factors that can put motorcyclists\u2019 integrity and life in danger are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Speed Excess<\/strong>: An important factor in motorcycle accidents, specially when is combined with a lack of experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Drive under the Alcohol and Drug Influence<\/strong>: Alcohol and Drugs affect the judgment and coordination, increasing the risk of accidents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Absence of Wearing a Helmet<\/strong>: Wearing a helmet reduces significantly the risk of severe head injuries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deficient Road Infrastructure<\/strong>: Highways with a low or no maintenance at all, lack of signage and inadequate lighting increase risk of accidents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Absence of Traffic Education and Inadequate Signage<\/strong>: This increase risks for motorcyclists to generate a lack of knowledge of traffic rules, as a lack of awareness about their presence, insecure spaces, traffic violation and absence of road safety education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In summary, there is information, accessories and education resources to guarantee safety of motorcyclists and develop a harmonious coexistence with car drivers.
