We will discover if your city is in the list, if not, we\u2019ll provide you different options to pedal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-amsterdam\">Amsterdam<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the capital city of the Kingdom of Netherlands and can be considered as a bike paradise. It is a constant Avant-Garde place, a city that tries to improve its cyclist infrastructure as an expansion of bike ways and create more low speed streets for cyclist to transit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, the <a href=\"https:\/\/handshakecycling.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/Resource%20Documents\/Amsterdam%20Handbook%20Bicycle%20Parking.pdf\">plan for 2025<\/a> is remove more than 10 thousand spaces to park cars and substitute them for bike parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-copenhagen\">Copenhagen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2019, the Copenhagen city, in Denmark, transformed into a clear example of sustainable transport when it was demonstrated that 62% of population go to work or school by bike. Meaning, among them, ride thousands of miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this city is normal to invest millions of euros to constantly enhance and maintain bike ways, besides create some new. For this reason, is frequent to see Copenhagen leads the list of the most bike friendly cities in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-utrecht\">Utrecht<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Another city in the world considered as a cyclist paradise is Utrecht. Even though is small, always try to be contemporary, mixing cyclist technology as infrastructure. For example, it has Flo systems, that detect speed of each cyclist to indicate if should accelerate or reduce the speed to cross in green light for the next traffic light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition is a capital city that prioritize bike fans, due city plans to put cyclist before motorist. For example, aside from daily bike ways, Utrecht has exclusive lanes for e-bikes. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-oslo\">Oslo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Oslo city is the clear example that it doesn\u2019t matter the pace, the important thing is to keep moving. Even though some years ago, it wasn\u2019t considered in the top 10 of the most bike friendly cities in the world, today is one of the cities that more support receive in this matter from politicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, since 2017, is forbidden for vehicles to drive to less than 1.3 km\u00b2 from the center. Likewise, have been removed more than 1000 parking lots for cars, to instead, create pedestrian crossings for alternative transports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-berlin\">Berlin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes, even though a cyclist wants it, is difficult to transport from one side of the city to another to cover a special point by bike. In Berlin this isn\u2019t an issue, citizens are allowed to take their bikes on train and metro to ease their transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the same way, is one of the capital cities with more connections among their bike way systems. These two points allow to be one of the most connected zones in the world through the usage of sustainable transport, as bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bogota\">Bogota<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though some of the European cities take the first places of the most bike friendly cities in the world, the truth is that Latin America also has a good investment in cyclist infrastructure. As an example, Bogota where Teusaquillo has 32 miles of bike ways, while Engativa, Usaquen, Barrios Unidos and Chapinero have more than 14 miles of bike lanes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mexico-city\">Mexico City<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mexico City is another of the most bike friendly cities with great cyclist infrastructure. It has 142 miles of <a href=\"https:\/\/multisenal.com\/en\/cyclopist\/\">bike ways<\/a> and the plan is to continue expanding.
